Just some simple Rules:
  1. Your article should be original and unpublished in any medium (magazine, other blog or website, etc).
  2. It must be written in English and contains at least 200 words.
  3. It must be a personal anecdote that talks about your experience and lessons learned with regards to your family life, being a mom, about your kids or your husbands,
  4. I prefer stories which are universal and timeless. This means it should appeal to anyone, regardless of where they are from; and the topic can remain relevant and informative even if it’s read a year from now.
When you submit your story, you agree that:
  • I can proofread and edit your article according to my preference which includes removing irrelevant external links. This means external links may be removed if I believe that it does not serve an important purpose to the context of the sentence or paragraph.
  • You will not receive any compensation (monetary or otherwise) from your work other than a promotion of your business, service, product or website in the form of a short bio included at the end of your story.
All those interested should first send me an email at pinaymom@pinaymomjournal.com to inform me of your intention to write a guest post.
I would appreciate it if you could introduce yourself and give the topic of your story, which includes the title of what you’re planning to write, when you send me that email.
Thank you.

THE PINAY MOM

Hello!

My name is Lorinda F. De Guzman. A Pinay Mom based in Sampaloc, Manila. I am 27 years old as of this moment and been married for 4 years now. Friends call me LHEN and I am more comfortable with that ^_^.

I was born in Taguig City, and grew up in ParaƱaque City, Philippines. I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Major in Marketing at the University of the East - Manila. I have worked in some companies part time during my college days like Jollibee Foods Corp., Suyen Corporation (Bench), Roasters Philippines Inc. (Kenny Rogers Roasters), and Mandurriao Star Inc. (SM City Bicutan). I have managed our small family business distributing sodas and an Internet cafewith my husband.

I met my husband through texting (SMS) when I had this one night where I cant sleep and turned on the TV. I found this interactive channel where I published my number and there he is. My man sent me his first "hi!". Fast forward after 2 years since that first message we got married June 21, 2006 at the Malate Catholic Church, Malate, Manila.

Our first daughter Emily came to us January 26, 2007 and Lois Ashly after three years on February 11, 2010.

Right now, Im just a simple housewife living with my husband and his parents here in Sampaloc, Manila.
